2011 Tres Jolie Water Garden Tour

May 15, 2011 Lafayette Garden Club held its annual Tres Jolie event, this year a Water Garden Tour

in the Acadiana area in cooperation with Water Gardens Unlimited. Featured were five Lafayette and

Broussard area private, professionally designed water gardens that include playful Koi and goldfish

as well as native aquatic plants. Kudos to Tres Jolie Chair Sybil Allis and her Committee, as well as

Kelly Suire, owner of Water Gardens Unlimited, for a successful event.

Among the water gardens on Tres Jolie’s Tour at 817 Flambant Drive, in Broussard, Lois

Walton and Jim Russell’s pond features a large water garden which includes a multi-level

waterfall with adjacent cove for wildlife to drink or bathe.

The family especially enjoys the view because of its proximity to an arbor swing and hot tub.

At 105 Hal Drive in Lafayette, tucked away alongside native plants in the personal wildlife

sanctuary of the homeowners, is the pond which provides a soothing waterfall with a subtle

drinking spot for wildlife.
